What is 12 Days of Pawlidays?
This holiday season, make a difference by helping a long-stay pet find the loving home they’ve been waiting for. From December 12–23, we’re spotlighting a different animal each day, giving them a chance to shine as the star of the day. These incredible pets have been patiently waiting for their perfect family, and now it’s their turn to find happiness. Best of all, on their special day, their adoption fees are completely waived—meaning it costs $0 to bring home a lifelong friend and brighten their holiday season.
Meet Lasagna: The Playful Tuxedo Cat Looking for His Perfect Home
Lasagna, a dashing 2-year-old tuxedo cat, is as charming as his name suggests. At 13.6 pounds of affectionate, playful energy, Lasagna loves attention and knows how to light up a room. But like all great companions, he has a few quirks that make him all the more unique.
Lasagna is the ideal match for a cat-savvy adopter who understands his need for structure and stimulation. He thrives in an environment where he can be the center of attention—an only-cat household with cozy windowsills to sunbathe and observe the world is his dream. While he enjoys pets and lap time, he can become overstimulated and needs a human who will respect his boundaries and signals.
A Journey Toward Comfort
Lasagna came to Pets In Need through a transfer from our partner shelter and has spent time acclimating to shelter life. Over time, he’s shown that he prefers quiet spaces where he can decompress and feel secure. Recently moved to a larger room to help him relax and meet potential adopters, he’s already shown a love for cozy blankets, treat puzzles, and catnip. Watching him roll around joyfully is a treat in itself!
While Lasagna may not get along well with energetic or forceful animals, he’s had some promising interactions with calm, respectful companions. He’s ready to shine in the right home where he can be his affectionate, fun-loving self.
