Meet Chula: Gentle Girl is Cleaned Up and Ready for Forever Home

Taking bubble baths, spending time outdoors, catching long naps, getting head scratches from humans.

DISLIKES
Living in a shelter (even though the people there are really nice to me).

Hi, I’m Chula.

I arrived at Pets In Need’s Palo Alto shelter this fall. My former mom was having trouble caring for me.

I wasn’t in great shape at the time. I had lost hair due to a severe case of fleas, and boy, did I itch. I was really skinny, too, and very hungry.

The staff and volunteers at Pets In Need took good care of me. They gave me lots of medicated bubble baths. Now my coat is clean and soft and I am rid of those pesky fleas.

They’ve also been feeding me well, and I have a lot more energy than I used to. Can you see the difference?

There’s just one more thing I’d like my friends at Pets In Need to do for me: find me a home.

The team thinks I’m about 7 years. I’m calm and kind, independent and well-behaved, and I’d enjoy a home with a yard so that I can run around in the great outdoors.

I think people are overlooking me because of my age. But you know what? With age comes wisdom.

I am so ready for someone to take a chance on me. If you give me a home where I can live out my golden years, and plenty of bones to chew on, I promise you will not be sorry.

Now, can we do this thing?
