Hats off to Maui, our first official graduate of the Goldfield’s Good Dog Club! When Maui first came to us over 280 days ago, he was a lovable but anxious pup. With his sweet nature, he quickly became a staff favorite. However, spending months in a shelter would make anyone anxious, and sadly he developed more challenges. Every foster home he went to returned him soon after. What more could we do?

Transformative Dog Training Programs: The Goldfield’s Good Dog Club

Enter the Goldfield’s Good Dog Club! We are thrilled to share that our dedicated donors (and Doggy Day Out volunteers) Maud and Burton Goldfield have made a transformative gift to help big dogs like Maui who need some extra training and attention. With their generous contribution, Maui was able to board and train with a licensed behaviorist who could teach him how to transition into a home environment properly. Following this, we gradually transitioned Maui into a foster family’s home (with kids!) where he blossomed into a well-behaved, certified “Goldfield Good Dog,” ready for his forever home.

Potty-Trained Adoptable Dogs: Maui’s Achievements

Maui earned straight A’s in potty-training, crate-training, and of course, cuddling! Last week, our staff celebrated his stellar achievements with a special graduation ceremony.
