Pets In Need Named Top 3 in Metro's Best of Silicon Valley for Animal Rescue!

This honor is a testament to the unwavering support of our incredible community of animal lovers, volunteers, adopters, and donors who share in our mission of saving lives and keeping families and pets together.

For nearly 60 years, Pets In Need has been a humane leader in  Silicon Valley, building a legacy of compassion, innovation, and unwavering dedication for animals in need. Founded in 1965, we’ve grown from a small shelter with a big heart into a trusted Bay Area resource known for our deep commitment to every animal served in our shelters and through our programs.  Through the years, our  offerings have evolved to include lifesaving medical care, low-cost community veterinary services and access-to-care programs, a dynamic foster network, and partnerships that expand our reach and impact. This legacy of service is only possible thanks to our supporters, who share our vision for humane communities where pets and people thrive together. 

As part of our commitment to serving pets and families, we offer a range of community resources aimed at improving animal health and wellness. Our Vaccine Clinics provide essential immunizations, our Spay/Neuter Clinic helps prevent unwanted litters and stems the flow of animals into shelters, and our newly launched Community Veterinary Clinic offers affordable wellness visits to ensure pets receive preventive care without a high-cost barrier. These services are just one more way we’re working to support pets and their people, keeping families together, and promoting healthy, thriving communities for all.
