In a heartwarming display of community spirit, local nonprofit Girls on the Run has joined forces with Pets In Need to support shelter animals in our area. The collaboration, driven by Girls on the Run's mission to empower young girls through running and community service, has already made a significant impact on the animals being cared for at Pets In Need’s shelters across the Peninsula.

Recently, the girls participated in a bake sale fundraiser and chose to allocate the proceeds to support Pets In Need. The girls participated in a teambuilding project to create toys for our shelter animals. They include tug-of-war toys and other enrichment items that are crucial for the mental stimulation of animals in shelter care. This heartwarming initiative not only allowed the girls to showcase their creativity but also emphasized the importance of empathy and community service. The toys they crafted brought immense joy to our animals, and we are incredibly grateful for their thoughtful contribution.
