The Best Batch of Brown Butter You’ll Ever Find
First, an education for the non-chef: butter that has been browned is richer and more intense than regular butter.
This is also an apt description of Brown Butter, or “BB,” a 1-year-old pit bull-mix who is currently rooming with us at Pets In Need.
BB has rich brown eyes and loves people so much that he’s sure to develop an intense bond with the family that takes him in.
Despite BB’s upbeat personality, affectionate ways and good looks, he hasn’t found his forever home. The poor guy is starting to lose his flavor.
Actually, it’s worse than that. BB is stressed. Really stressed.
Though he gets regular walks, eats well and enjoys attention from our staff and volunteers, BB has been at our Palo Alto shelter for six weeks, and that’s just too long.
Volunteers have taken BB home overnight, and he regularly takes short field trips through our Doggy Day Out program. Our volunteers speak glowingly about him, reporting that he is happy, friendly, loving and walks well on a leash.
BB and shelter-life don’t mix, while BB and a loving home very much do mix.
Please, do BB a favor. Take a moment to share this with your friends and family. Someone in your network—a friend of a friend or a distant cousin, perhaps—may be searching for the perfect pit bull to call their own.
Contact Rachel at rmeisels@petsinneed.org or call (650) 421-2264 for more information or to schedule a meeting with BB.
Note that while BB has a kind heart and is a 60-pound ball of fun, he must go to a home without children or other dogs.
