Can you do us a favor?

First, open your calendar to Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019.

Next, add the following event: GivingTuesday 2019.

Then, make a note to donate to Pets In Need, petsinneed.org/givingtuesday2019

We’ve set an ambitious goal to raise $25,000 this GivingTuesday to support our Second Chance Fund, which provides critical medical care to animals with special needs.

Best of all, we have an amazing opportunity to double the amount of funds raised!

Local residents and philanthropists Burton and Maud Goldfield will match every gift made on GivingTuesday up to $25,000.

That means that if we are able to reach our goal, we will actually raise $50,000 in a single day!

Can you make a gift to Pets In Need on this GivingTuesday to help us take advantage of this incredible opportunity?

Please save the date on your calendar or let us know if you would like us to send you a reminder to donate on GivingTuesday.

Tina was scheduled to be put down when we discovered her at a Central Valley shelter. She had itchy, painful skin caused by chronic fleas, and tearing in her knees equivalent to a human ACL injury. With support from our Second Chance Fund, we were able to provide Tina with the knee surgery, medications and physical therapy she desperately needed. Tina has since been adopted. Your contribution on GivingTuesday will go directly to animals like Tina, who need medical care and a second chance at landing a home.

About the Second Chance Fund

Sometimes the animals we rescue from public facilities require extensive medical treatment before they are ready to be adopted. Generous donations to our Second Chance Fund support the cost of medical care for seriously ill and injured animals. Treatment can include special operations, chemotherapy, dental work, behavior training and more. In certain cases, we take animals with serious medical conditions to an outside clinic for surgery or specialty care. These animals would be considered untreatable at most shelters.

At Pets In Need, every animal we rescue becomes our responsibility. Thanks to our Second Chance Fund, we are able to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes.

About GivingTuesday

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world on December 3, 2019 and every day.

It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
