Palo Alto City Council votes to finalize negotiations
We are very pleased with the decision by Palo Alto Mayor Liz Kniss and City Council which paves the way for the city to finalize an agreement with Pets In Need to provide animal care services for residents of Palo Alto, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.
The partnership between Pets In Need and Palo Alto will advance the no-kill movement and serve as a national model for the humane treatment of animals in public shelters.
In the coming weeks Pets In Need will work with city officials to finalize the operating and facilities agreements so that we may begin providing services in Palo Alto this fall.
At Pets In Need, we are dedicated to finding every animal a safe and loving home. With Palo Alto as our partner, we will save an even greater number of healthy and treatable animals, giving them a second chance at life.
