About Mandy
Estimated age: 8 years
Gender: Female
Size: 12 lbs.
Location: Foster
Mandy is the star of the show. She wants all your attention, even if she sometimes has a funny way of showing it. She may start out shy, but once she warms up to you, you are the only one she’ll want. Here’s what her foster family has to say:
Mandy, I must say, is the gentlest cat I have ever fostered. No scratching no biting. Just wants to hang out with you and be petted. Cute little head buts and always meowing and all her meows communicate what she wants based on the tone. She is a sweetheart. She also responds to her name. Whenever she is sleeping and I call her name, she always does come.
Overall, she is doing great. She is quite the social cat, but also enjoys sleeping in bed with her human and want to be around them even if they are cleaning the bathroom while she watches from inside the tub.
She loves being brushed and given belly rubs. She doesn't like being picked up. I tried only once and her body went stiff. Her meows are the cutest, especially the purr/meow she has and all the others. She is able to communicate so well as to if she is mad or wants attention or is in a playful mood from her body language and meows running around the house with naughty eyes. She kicks me during her sleep and also sleep talks :p
Mandy would thrive best in a single animal home since she wants to be the center of attention. She might not do well with small children either because she doesn’t like loud noises and rapid movements.
History
Mandy was surrendered to Pets in Need when her previous owner was no longer able to care for her and wanted what is best.
