ABOUT MEHRAY
Estimated age: 6 years
Gender: Female
Size: 13.3 lbs.
Location: Foster
“Hi, I was originally named Billy Jean, but my foster parents call me “Meyray”. I seem to like this name better. My eyes blink multiple times when I hear them call me out. When I came to their home, I was a little shy, but now I am the princess of the house. I am a little tubby and I love to play with my string toy. Yes, as a cat I like to sleep a lot. I am a lap cat, and I have TV time as well, but it’s monitored by my foster parents. I love to puzzle – see my photo !
I am looking for a home, where my new family can love me as much as I can love them. When I first come to your home, let me take a quick tour to find out where I will be most comfortable. When I sit, please come and say hello. Please say hello to me by letting me sniff your hand before you pet me. If I walk away from over petting, please don’t be offended. I will always come back to you and pet against your legs. I will be shy in beginning, as it takes me a few weeks to get use a new setting. You can ask my foster parents about me. I know they will miss me a lot, but they have take care of other cats too. Can I be a princess in your home?”
Here is what her foster parent has to say:
“Meyray has settled in very well in her foster environment. At first, she was a little shy for a few days, but she is now her wonderful playful self. Meyray loves to see outside a window. Every morning as the sun shines, she is looking through a patio door waiting for the sun to shine. She is definitely a princess, who likes you to attend to her. It is hard to say no Meyray which she expresses herself with her cute meows. Since we work from home at times, she insists in the afternoon that she sits on either of our laps during a conference call. Sometimes she will try to press send to your emails, so it’s best to log out of your computer, if she is in your office. At nighttime, we have found that Meyray likes to hang by herself. She will come out for dinner and eat with us when we call for her, but after dinner, she likes to rest, and that is great. We believe that Meyray will make a wonderful addition to any family. She likes to be pet but not over pet, so kids who are older would be ideal for her to be their buddy. Please reach out to the foster parents via a zoom call to learn more. She is really special.”
Update from her foster parents on 3/23/24:
“Meyray would make a perfect home with elder couple. She is the best lap cat. Whether you're sitting at your desk or lying down on a couch she wants to be beside you. She loves to laze around so retirement is perfect for her. She will play during the day, and rest at night…She loves playing with a wand toy and loves plastic. She also loves beach sandals and rubs her head all around it.”
The Fine Print
