Athena is a strong, devoted mama with a heart full of love. Having dedicated herself to raising her puppies, she’s now ready to find a home where she can be the one receiving care and affection. This powerful girl could benefit from leash training, but when she’s focused, she learns quickly and is eager to please. She’s already picking up commands like sit and shake and has an impressive talent for catching treats mid-air!

Athena enjoys attention and being part of the group—once introduced, she’s friendly and affectionate. She has a playful side, too, loving stuffed animals and a good game of fetch. Food motivates her, and she takes treats with a gentle touch. She’s also been learning house manners, respecting thresholds, and waiting patiently for her turn.

According to her previous foster parent, though protective of her home and pups, Athena wasn’t reactive to people on the street and did well walking alongside other dogs at a distance. She settled nicely in a crate or pen when needed and showed curiosity about car rides—perhaps she’s an adventurer at heart! Squirrels and geese may catch her eye, but she can be redirected.

Athena is a wonderful balance of strength, loyalty, and affection. Now that her puppies are ready to find their own homes, it’s her turn to be someone’s beloved companion. Could that be you?
