What is 12 Days of Pawlidays?
This holiday season, make a difference by helping a long-stay pet find the loving home they’ve been waiting for. From December 12–23, we’re spotlighting a different animal each day, giving them a chance to shine as the star of the day. These incredible pets have been patiently waiting for their perfect family, and now it’s their turn to find happiness. Best of all, on their special day, their adoption fees are completely waived—meaning it costs $0 to bring home a lifelong friend and brighten their holiday season.

Glimmer is a sweet, one-year-old, 64-pound female dog currently awaiting a loving home in our Redwood City shelter. With a loving personality and an endearing belief that she’s the perfect size for your lap, Glimmer is the ultimate cuddle companion for anyone looking to add a warm and affectionate presence to their home.

Despite her larger size, Glimmer’s gentle demeanor makes her a perfect lapdog. She adores snuggling and being close to her people, always eager to shower them with love and attention. What Glimmer Needs
Ages 15+ household: Glimmer thrives in a calm and understanding environment, making her an excellent fit for families with older children or adults.
Solo pet household: To ensure her best behavior and happiness, Glimmer should be the only pet in her home.
Her Progress and Journey
Glimmer’s time in the shelter has been a story of growth. Initially hesitant and reactive due to stress and fear, she has made incredible strides with the help of our dedicated team and behavior specialists. Through slower introductions, training, and lots of love, Glimmer has blossomed into a more confident and relaxed dog. She now walks well on a leash, responds to cues, and enjoys meeting people—especially when treats and toys are involved.

Quick Learner: Glimmer has mastered several cues, including "sit," "down," "place," and "find it."
Playful Spirit: She loves fetch and toy play, making her an active and engaging companion.
