Pets In Need shelters some puppies and kittens, but we specialize in the more difficult to place animals who would be killed at other shelters. Because an animal has aged a bit or may have lost a limb or may have a medical condition requiring treatment is not a justifiable excuse for killing.

We believe in the compassion of our community. We believe that this community will open their homes and hearts to provide loving families for needy animals. We also believe that generous and kind people will provide the financial resources needed to take care of the abandoned dogs and cats who depend on us.

United Way does not list Animal Welfare as a donation category. Please let everyone know they can write in Pets In Need and their donation will be directed to Pets In Need. Please tell your coworkers to ask a supervisor for the donor designation form. You can direct your money to the charity of your choice.

Pets In Need is a member of Speakers Bureau for Work Place Campaigns. If your office team is looking for dynamic speakers and great four-legged stars to make your campaign meeting special, just ask for Pets In Need to address your group! Better yet, bring your work group for a tour so the animals can thank you themselves with loud purrs and wagging tails.

Pets In Need appreciates your regular and sustained support to help the animals who are sheltered with us or helped through our unique combination of services. Providing your monthly support through our PIN Pal program is one way that you can help. Pets In Need can always use the following items in clean, good condition, preferably new:

Unopened dog and cat treats

Wet dog or cat food, as long as it’s not prescription or expired
New dog toys: Kongs, rope toys, other indestructible toys
New cat toys
Brushes and/or combs – for dogs and cats
Ping-pong balls (for cats)
Gift cards from pet supply stores such as Petsmart and Petco
Large and small crates
Baby blankets
Clean towels, not frayed or torn, if we have space
Flat sheets, if we have space
Small blankets (nothing larger twin), if we have space
